theSun had on Dec 27, highlighted how 12 girls alleged to have been abused for years by the home manager, a Datin and wife of a Datuk who is a senior official of Sochi.
The home known as the Caring Hands (Kakum Karangal) is managed by Sochi since 2003.
The alleged abuse came to light when a psychiatrist from Singapore had found irregular behaviour amongst the children during a study conducted at the home early last year.
Following a full report submitted to Sochi's committee by the psychiatrist in June, the society's secretary, Dr Subramaniam Suppiah had lodged a police report on the suspected abuse in June 11, and a second report on Aug 12 as there was no feedback from the authorities.
