Tengku Abdullah appointed Regent of Pahang

KUANTAN: The Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, has been appointed the Regent of Pahang, according to Pahang State Secretary Datuk Seri Muhammad Safian Ismail.
The appointment was made with the consent of the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah, he said in an official government notification dated Dec 28, 2016.
Muhammad Safian said His Royal Highness would be officially addressed as the Regent of Pahang, Tengku Mahkota Abdullah Al-Haj Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah.
The letter was circulated to the media yesterday.
It has been also circulated to all members of the State Executive Council, state assemblymen, Pahang members of parliament, heads of state and federal departments in Pahang, district officers and heads of state and federal statutory organisations in Pahang. — Bernama
