'Datuk Seri' businessman who assaulted security guard surrenders

GEORGE TOWN: A businessman carrying the title of Datuk Seri, who allegedly assaulted a security guard on Saturday has turned himself in to the police.
Northeast district police chief ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said the 50-year-old surrendered himself at the district police headquarters at about 11am today.
"We will continue our investigations," he said in a brief media statement.
In a video that went viral, the businessman was filmed trying to remove a clamp from his car with a metal cutting tool during the 4pm incident.
A 42-year-old security guard who was filming the incident was assaulted by the man, after realising he was being filmed.
The security guard who works for the condominium where the car was parked suffered injuries to his head and body.
The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for causing hurt.
