Body of dead man found in playground

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Several members of the public made a gruesome discovery when they found the body of a man at a playground here yesterday morning.
Central Seberang Perai district police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said police were informed about the discovery of the body at Lorong 1, Padang Nagasari at about 8am.
He said the deceased was identified as Pandey Radhe Shyam, a Nepal national who worked at a factory in Bukit Tengah.
Nik Ros said police found a slash wound on the neck and a stab wound on the deceased's stomach.
"The motive is under investigation, we will record statements from his colleagues and search his accommodation as well," he said when contacted by the media today.
He said the case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
