North Sumatra quake felt in Peninsular Malaysia (Updated)

PETALING JAYA: A moderate 5.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in North Sumatera, Indonesia yesterday and the tremor could be felt up to several areas in peninsular Malaysia.
According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, the quake's epicentre was 35km southwest of Binjai, Indonesia, and 264km southwest of Lumut, Perak.
It was reported that the quake had hit a depth of 10km.
Indonesia's tsunami warning centre said there was no potential for the quake to trigger a tsunami.
Social media users uploaded comments on Facebook to share about the news.
Eddy Suffian Mahmud said on Facebook "Tadi blah Penang kat pulau ramai orang rasa gegeq.Hg ada rasa bergegaq x" (Just now there's a lot of people in Penang who said they experienced a tremors. Did you guys feel it as well?)
Ridzuan Ibrahim Rbi said "patut la macam bergoyang tadi. Ingatkan kepala saya pening, rupanya ada gempa bumi. (No wonder it felt very shaky just now. I thought that I was having a headache but turns out there was an earthquake)," he said on Facebook.
