'Datuk Seri' who assaulted security guard released on bail

GEORGE TOWN: A businessman with a 'Datuk Seri' title who allegedly assaulted a security guard has been released on police bail.
Northeast district police chief ACP Mior Faridalatrash Wahid said the 50-year-old was released on Monday.
"We will refer his case to the state prosecution unit for their perusal," he said in a statement today.
The man had surrendered himself at the district police headquarters at 11am on Monday.
In a viral video, the man was filmed trying to remove a clamp from his car with a metal cutting tool during the 4pm incident.
Both the security guard and businessman have since lodged police reports over the incident.
