Honouring students' success

THE Advanced Student Forum (ASF) is an annual event held by Kumon to recognise students’ achievements, namely those who have completed their programme and who have successfully achieved fi ve years ahead of their actual grade.
At Kumon, students who are studying at least six months ahead of their actual school grade are given the title “Advanced Student”.
From over 40,000 Kumon students in Malaysia, 15,610 have achieved that status and 221 students have completed the Kumon programme. Recently, 353 Kumon advanced students walked with pride on stage to receive their awards.
The highlight of the Kumon ASF 2016 are awards given for Youngest Completer in Maths to Thin Qi Hao (Primary 4), Youngest Completer in English to Leryssa Syamel Zahwa Abd Hamid (Primary 5), Youngest Two Subjects Completer to Ian George Taye Cheng Ean (Primary 6) and Youngest Maths Awardee to Aden Tan Ray Xuan (four years old).
Kumon believes all children possess boundless potential and through instruction at the “just right” level, it is possible to uncover the underlying potential in children.
