Hong Kong model live streams suicide attempt

A Hong Kong model broadcast her suicide attempt on her Facebook page showing her about to jump off a building.
An upset Ng Shuk Yi, 28, was talking about her personal problems for nearly an hour before climbing over the railing at a warehouse waterfront in Kowloon and jumped into the water at wee hours Jan 16, reported Apple Daily.
Popularly known as YoYo, Ng is a freelance model with HKBC Media and has a Facebook following of nearly 9,500.
It was reported that her Facebook followers, who were still awake in the wee hours of the morning tried persuading her not to kill herself but Ng insisted in taking her own life because she was facing hard times and "hated herself".
Police, a civil defence team and a colleague rushed to the scene on time. She survived the suicide attempt after she was pulled out of the water by firefighters.
The video has since been removed from her page and she has uploaded a video from the hospital apologising for her actions.
