KUALA LUMPUR: Bersih 2.0's former treasurer was questioned by police over funds allegedly received from US billionaire George Soros's Open Society Foundation (OSF) today.
Masjaliza Hamzah, 50, who was accompanied by her lawyer, Raul Lee Bhaskaran, said she has chosen to remain silent when questioned on the matter.
She said the list of questions given to her by police revolved around Bersih and its accounts.
"All questions asked were related to our non-governmental organisation and its accounts.
"The links to George Soros and the OSF was also asked by the police," she told reporters when met at the Bukit Aman police headquarters here.
Masjaliza however said she reserved her right to remain silent and did not answer the questions posed.
She said that she was called in for questioning under Section 124C of the Penal Code for attempting to commit an activity detrimental to parliamentary democracy.
Masjaliza arrived at Bukit Aman here at 3pm and spent about an hour there.
