Nando’s fruity fare

THIS year, Nando’s fans are in for a treat. For the first time in its 19-year history in Malaysia, the famed grilled chicken joint is bringing in a new flavour for its chicken meals.
On top of its popular standard options of lemon and herb, mild, hot, and extra hot sauces, Nando’s has introduced the new mango and lime, a sweet, zesty flavour that brings an extra dimension to its existing range of Peri-Peri options.
Staying true to Nando’s Afro-Portuguese roots, the new flavour will be the perfect for those who prefer something different from the less spicy lemon and herb.
The sweetness of the mango and tartness of the lime go very well with the slight spice from the Peri-Peri marinade.
The mango and lime flavour has proven to be a hit among many Nando’s lovers in various countries across the globe – including the United Kingdom and Australia – and now Malaysia can join the bandwagon in this tongue-tingling sensation.

“Our flame-grilled Peri-Peri chicken has proven to be a hit with our fans at home and abroad,” said Stephen Chew, chief operating officer of Nando’s Malaysia.
“With our new flavour, we hope to welcome new fans through our doors and ignite Nando’s lovers with sweet, tangy and zesty flavours, matched with the quirky Nando’s Peri-Peri twist.
“We are always trying to spice up the Nando’s experience, all the while staying true to our identity – and the fun combination of mango and lime fits the bill perfectly.”
Nando’s has also introduced a new designer drink to pair with the mango and lime flavour.
The Tropical Fruitea, a thirst-quenching medley of mango and lime flavours infused with orange juice and lemon tea, will serve to be the perfect complement to any mango and lime Peri-Peri flavoured meal.
The mango and lime Peri-Peri flavour is available for all chicken meals in all Nando’s outlets.
