Two motorcyclists die in road accidents in Perak

IPOH: A woman was among two motorcyclists who died in two road accidents in Perak, yesterday.
In the first case, Zalina Zahid,43, died at the scene of the road accident while her daughter suffered minor injuries.
Ipoh police chief ACP Sum Chang Keong said Zalina fell after her motorcycle skidded after hitting a puddle of water at Jalan Jelapang-Chemor, at 9.45pm.
In another case, Alias Jaafar, 47, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene after he was involved in an acccident with a Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV).
Kampar police chief Supt Ng Kong Soon said Alias was riding his motorcycle at 8.50pm when it skidded at Km300.7 North-South Experessway (north bound).
"An MPV coming from the same direction could not avoid hitting the victim and the motorcycle in the middle of the road," he said in a statement. — Bernama
