BATU GAJAH: Fire and Rescue Department  personnel had to break the side window of a car to rescue two children who were locked in when their parents went to the market here today.
The couple had earlier left the siblings who were sleeping in the car and went to the market.
The parents who returned later decided to call for help after they were unable to wake the children.
A Batu Gajah Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said they received a distress call and a team rushed to the scene  at 7.32am.
"We tried calling them but they were asleep ... our men had no choice but to break the window to unlock the doors and rescue the children aged two and eight," he added.
