PETALING JAYA: People are paying foreign workers to queue up and buy their favourite CNY delicacy.
Foreign workers are being paid to line up and buy the coveted Bak Kwa from popular outlets in Singapore.
According to China Press, foreigners are paid SGD5.00 (RM15.62) per hour to line up from 9.00pm the night before until the shop opens its doors at 9.00am the next morning.
Bak Kwa is one of CNY's must have delicacies and Lim Chee Guan, one of Singapore's most popular bak kwa shops, has patrons queuing up for hours before they get to buy the delightful dried caramelised meat.
A video that has been viewed a few thousand times and shared shows long lines of people queuing up to buy the delicacy.
Some come well prepared for the long wait with pieces of cardboards, stools and chairs to sit while waiting in line.
