KUALA LUMPUR: Traffic was reported to be smooth overall on the North-South Expressway Aliran as at 10am today except for between Rawang to Sungai Buaya and Bukit Tagar to Lembah Beringin.

"Traffic is expected to pick up as the day goes by as more people will be taking advantage of the first day of the Chinese New Year to travel back to their hometowns," a PLUS Malaysia Berhad spokesman told Bernama.

Meanwhile, a Malaysian Highway Authority spokesman said traffic was reported to be smooth on the east coast highways.
