Those involved in misappropriation of funds, falsifying documents will be dealt with severely: Zambry

IPOH: The Perak state government would not compromise or defend any individuals or authorities involved in misappropriation of funds or falsifying documents for their own benefit said Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir.
Any action or incidents that can tarnish the image of the state must be brought to my attention quickly to avoid such cases from 'spreading', he said.
"We will not allow such a culture in Perak. There are some who have used my name under the pretext of taking money up front to approve projects. When I heard of such a case, I was shocked.
"There have also been cases of misappropriation of funds, including falsifying documents. Such cases must be reported immediately," he said in his speech at the Chinese New Year celebration organised by the Perak Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, here today.
Zambry said such cases would not only tarnish the image of the state but also destroy the economy of the state and prevent investors from coming to the state. — Bernama
