Woman killed after getting knocked down in LDP

SERDANG: A pedestrian was killed when she was knocked down by a vehicle at Km21.5 Damansara Puchong Highway heading towards Sunway, near here this morning.
In the 7am incident, Chong Yoke Mei, 54, was walking from the commercial district in Jalan Kenari and was trying to cross the busy highway to get to a mall on the opposite side when the incident happened.
Serdang district police chief ACP Megat Mohd Aminuddin Megat Alias said the victim succumbed to her head injuries.
"We appeal to eye-witnesses of the incident to come forward to help in our investigations," he said, adding they can also call the Serdang Police headquarters traffic division at 03-80713116.
The case is being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
