GEORGE TOWN: Penang DAP will convene a meeting today (Feb 2) to discuss preparations for the next general election.
Party chairman Chow Kon Yeow said state DAP members were expected to be present in the meeting to discuss the party's election machinery in gearing up for the polls.
However, he remained tightlipped on the time and venue of the meeting when asked by reporters here today.
Chow said the party's proposed theme for the upcoming elections would also be discussed at the meeting.
He also ticked off Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties for outsourcing work on picking a theme to other companies.
"We do not outsource to anyone but we think for ourselves," the Padang Kota assemblyman said in his speech during the Chinese New Year open house at his constituency here.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng who was also present at the event, criticised the federal government over the recent hike in fuel prices.
He said the hike will burden many people especially after the Chinese New Year following a 20 cents increase in RON95 and RON97 respectively while diesel saw a 10 cent increase.
