Lucky switch over

WATSONS Malaysia recently rewarded 10 lucky VIPmembers the chance to what many can only dream of ... shopping without having to pay.


The fortuitous few were given the time of their life as they could take as many Watsons’ brand products as they could for a span of one minute. Some managed to accumulate an estimated RM4,700 worth ofWatsons’ brand products within the time frame. Among the selected products were personal care items, beauty essentials and healthcare products.

According to Watsons Malaysia consumer director Danny Hoh, the VIPmembers were selected from a recent social media contest where they were asked to share their reasons for switching from other brands toWatsons.

The shopping spree was held at Sunway Velocity Mall, part of Watsons’ “Switch and Save” campaign, which was launched by WatsonsMalaysia in 2016.


The selected VIP members and mall shoppers also got to engage with Watsons Malaysia’s celebrities Amber Chia, Fuying and Sam. The exclusive gig included a stage game, a photo opportunity and autograph session with the celebrities.

Watsons Malaysia general manager and country head Caryn Loh talked about the shopping spree stint.

“Watsons is a major player in the health and beauty retail. In Asia alone, we managed to sell more than 352 million Watsons brand products worldwide. We want our customers to be sure of the quality of Watsons brand, hence through this shopping spree treat we are able to showcase our thanks to the wonderful customers who have rendered support to Watsons brand in Malaysia,” Loh said.
