PDZ vessel served with three writs

PETALING JAYA: PDZ Holdings Bhd has been served with three writs in admiralty in rem on its vessel PDZ Mewah by CCK Petroleum Sdn Bhd, CCK Capital Ltd and CCK Petroleum (Labuan) Ltd.
PDZ told Bursa Malaysia that the writs are in relation to the non-payment of supply of marine fuel oil and/or marine gas oil supplied to the vessel, which was previously owned by Perkapalan Dai Zhun Sdn Bhd (PDZSB), a former wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.
The entire stake in PDZSB was sold to Salvage Point Ltd on Dec 30, 2016.
“The operational impact to the company is expected to be minimal as the company has made the necessary arrangements to secure slots from third party vessels as an interim measure to continue to provide customers with the same services as currently provided by the vessel,” said PDZ.
Worth noting is that PDZ Mewah was also served with a writ in admiralty action in rem and a warrant of arrest by Dan-Bunkering (Singapore) Pte Ltd last month.
