KUALA LUMPUR: A male suspect, who was found lying unconscious beside the bloodied bodies of a woman and two young children at a house in Taman Lembah Maju here, has been remanded until Feb 19 to facilitate investigations into the case.
Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Hamzah Alias said police broke into the house after receiving a distress call from a passer-by at around 11.50pm on Sunday.
"The member of the public who alerted us said he saw a lot of blood in the house.
"All four were found in the master bedroom, however only the 47-year-old man was alive," he said in a statement today.
He said the man, a Myanmar national, was found next to the bodies of the woman and the two children – a two-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl.
Background checks found that the woman worked at a foot reflexology centre and the man was unemployed.
"The bodies were sent to Hospital Ampang for a post-mortem and the man has been sent to the hospital as his condition was unstable before we arrested him," he said.
He added that police are trying to piece together the motive of the incident.
The case has been classified as murder.
