SEGI University & Colleges has produced thousands of educators since the 1990s, making it the pioneer in the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) training.
Committed to deliver a superior tertiary education for tomorrow’s educators, the Malaysian government has also appointed SEGi as the Champion of Entry Point Project (EPP) 2, Education National Key Economic Areas (NKEA) to promote and train high-calibre practitioners.
Today, SEGi has produced over 100 graduates who has become successful early childhood entrepreneurs both locally and internationally.
Its Diploma in Early Childhood Education (DECE) strongly emphasises on practicum sessions, enabling DECE students to be prepared to work with children in the future.
As part of their studies, students are often brought to kindergartens and childcare centres so that they can observe what and how children learn. They are also provided with internship opportunities with kindergartens and childcare centres to further boost their learning experience.
The DECE qualification also leads to two Bachelor’s Degree programmes in SEGi: the Bachelor of Education (Hons) and the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Early Years Education.
