IPOH: Dengue cases in Perak had been on the rise with 823 cases Jan 1 and Feb 11 as compared to 728 cases during the same period last year.
The State Health Department in a statement said there were four deaths during the said period with no fatalities reported last year.
A total of 60 hotspots have been identified with eight in Kinta and one each in Larut Matang and Selama.
The health authorities also checked 9,615 premises of which 182 were found breeding aedes mosquitoes.
The current hot and rainy weather condition has been attributed to the aedes breeding.
