PETALING JAYA: Sim Tong Him, who has left DAP, said he is not bothered that Lim Kit Siang has called him a traitor, reported Berita Harian.
"He (Lim) can say whatever he wants, I don't care," the Kota Malacca MP was quoted as saying by Berita Harian today.
When asked how he felt about being labelled a traitor, alongside the other three DAP assemblyperson who left the party, Goh Leong San (Duyong), Lim Jak Wong (Bachang) and Chn Choon Seong (Kesidang), Sim said he felt nothing.
"I will look at the newspaper reports tomorrow. But for now, I don't feel anything regarding Lim's statement, so it's okay. As of now, I won't mind, as I am also busy with my own work," he said.
The four elected representatives announced that they were quitting the party on Sunday, citing that the party now has no proper direction and has deviated from its core objectives.
Following their resignation, Lim described the four as party traitors and apologised to DAP voters in Malacca.
Party secretary-general Lim Gun Eng also took the same approach to apologise to voters and members of the party for supposedly trusting the wrong representatives.
