World media mobs HKL mortuary

KUALA LUMPUR: The mortuary area of Kuala Lumpur Hospital (HKL) was a hive of activity today as the world media converged there for the latest updates on the death of a North Korean citizen believed to be the half-brother the country's leader Kim Jong-Un.
North Korean embassy officials and North Korea's ambassador to Malaysia Kang Chol were seen entering the mortuary at HKL today where the body believed to be of Kim Jong-Nam was sent for an autopsy to be conducted.
The mortuary was also the scene of heavy police presence the whole day as several cars from the embassy with diplomatic number plates were seen entering the area from around 11am today.
Dozens of journalists and cameramen were gathered outside the mortuary at HKL as early as 10am despite it being sealed off.
At around 2.15pm, what is believed to be the ambassador's car was seen entering the compound of the mortuary.
The car, which had a diplomatic registration plate and a North Korean flag on its left side, was let into the mortuary compound by auxiliary policemen at the guard post.
Journalists tried to approach the officials who were alighting from the cars but were stopped by auxiliary policemen guarding the entrances.
The aforementioned official car was seen leaving the mortuary at around 4.50pm but returned swiftly after five minutes and was there till press time.
Earlier, City police chief Commissioner Datuk Amar Singh was seen leaving the mortuary at 11am, about an hour after the body had arrived from the Putrajaya general hospital.
At press time, several journalists from local and international media were still camping outside the premises.
It was also unsure whether the post-mortem had taken place at press time.
The victim's body was brought from Putrajaya Hospital to HKL at around 10am under heavy police escort.
