Paying the easy cashless way

THE future is cashless and Samsung is paving the way in Malaysia with Samsung Pay, an easy and secure payment method that is just as acceptable as a credit or debit card.
Samsung Malaysia Electronics Mobile and IT Business Unit vice president Lee Jui Siang said: “We have seen strong consumer interest and readiness to adopt mobile payments in Malaysia, and with Samsung Pay’s security, ease of use and wide availability, we are confident the service provides a truly seamless mobile payment experience that can make users’ everyday lives more convenient.”
With Samsung Pay, you can make payment for your purchases using selected Samsung devices wherever a Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) or Near Field Communication (NFC) payment terminal is available, which is basically every payment terminal that lets you tap your credit or debit card to pay.
However, unlike a credit or debit card, Samsung Pay is secured by three levels of security: fingerprint authentication, tokenisation, and Samsung Knox, which is Samsung’s defence-grade mobile security platform.
Despite the high level of security, Samsung Pay is simple to use.
There are only three steps to remember: first swipe up on the Samsung device to launch Samsung Pay, next authenticate your payment method using your fingerprint, and finally tap the phone onto the payment terminal to complete your payment.
Samsung Pay can store up to 10 cards. You can either manually input the card information into Samsung pay, or scan it.
Depending on the policies set by your bank or credit union, Samsung Pay will prompt you to verify your identity through a text message or a phone call.
Samsung Pay is available on the latest Samsung devices including the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016).
To find out more and win some exclusive Samsung merchandise, visit the Samsung Pay launch and roadshow at the Centre Court, Suria KLCC, in Kuala Lumpur, between Feb 24 and 28, from 10am to 10pm.
Use Samsung Pay for purchases over this five-day roadshow and you might walk away with one of the 100 wireless chargers to be given away daily as well as a Samsung Galaxy S7edge for the highest daily spender.
