As this is the first time Daikin Malaysia is sponsoring a cyclist, I hope this partnership will help acquaint others in the cycling scene, as well as other markets in Malaysia.”
Song also shared his hope, that Azizul maintains his performance as a world-class athlete and perform excellently in the upcoming events and bring honour to both the country and the Daikin brand. “Signing on Azizul could also help boost the company’s engagement with the Malay community,” Song added.

Having been chosen as the face of Daikin Malaysia, Azizul feels the need to do what he can in return.
During the sponsorship signing press conference, he shared about his plans to compete at the World Track Championship in Hong Kong and the 2017 SEAGames.
He told Chung that he has been confirmed to compete in one event at the upcoming SEA Games but hopes he can participate in two. “I do hope to compete in two events for the SEA Games and win two gold medals for Daikin. As for the world championship, I am aiming for the podium finish as I have won two bronzes over the past few years.”
