GEORGE TOWN: More than 12,000 consumers in eight areas will face water disruption this Saturday to facilitate road upgrading works by the Public Works Department (JKR).
Areas affected are include South Bay, Kampung Batu Maung, Lengkok Batu Maung, Taman Sunway Mutiara, Taman Bidara, Medan Batu Maung, Taman Sunway Tunas Jaya, and Taman Gembira.
Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) CEO Datuk Jasei Maidinsa said water supply will be disrupted from 9am to 9pm on March 4.
He said the connection works required a temporary shutdown as an existing 600mm MS (mild steel) pipeline needs to be done.
Consumers are urged to store sufficient water for the 12-hour period.
