Nestle announces RM1.30 a share final dividend

PETALING JAYA: Nestle (Malaysia) Bhd, which announced a final dividend of RM1.30 a share, saw net profit for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2016 fall 33% on planned and exceptionally higher marketing and trade investments in preparation for the early Chinese New Year in 2017.
The group made a net profit of RM66.94 million for the quarter, compared with RM99.79 million for the same period.
This was despite revenue growing marginally to RM1.25 billion, from RM1.2 billion for the same quarter in the preceding year.
Net profit for the full year ended Dec 31, 2016 stood at RM637.13 million, compared with RM590.73 million for the same period in 2015.
Revenue was also higher at RM5.06 billion for the year, compared with RM4.84 billion for the same period in 2015.
