MAHB posts Q4 RM33.3m net profit

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd’s (MAHB) net profit leaped to RM33.3 million in the fourth quarter of financial year 2016 ended Dec 31, after making a net loss of RM39.8 million in the preceding year’s corresponding quarter, due to higher contributions from its Malaysian operations.
This was on a 4.2% increase in revenue to RM1.08 billion from RM1.03 billion previously.
Non-aeronautical revenue was also higher with retail revenue going up by 6.9% or RM13.4 million. This, however, was negated by lower rental revenue.
MAHB’s net profit for 2016 was RM70.3 million compared with RM40.9 million from the preceding year’s corresponding quarter. Revenue was up 7.8% to RM4.17 billion against RM 3.87 billion for the same period in 2015.
