Textiles seller shot dead at Taman Kinrara

SERDANG: A 33-year-old Indian textiles seller was shot dead at a parking area of his apartment in Taman Kinrara here early yesterday.
Serdang police chief ACP Megat Mohamad Aminuddin Megat Alias said police received a call from a passer-by on the incident at 1am.
He said police who arrived at the scene found the victim's body at the parking area of the five-storey Suria apartments.
Megat said forensics police found five spent bullet shells which is believed to be fired from a semi-automatic pistol at the scene.
He said the victim's body was sent to the Serdang Hospital for a post mortem and the motive behind his killing is being investigated.
Megat Mohamad Aminuddin said witnesses told police that the victim had earlier parked his car and was walking towards his apartment block when his assailants confronted him.
He said the apartment was guarded round-the-clock.
He said the victim ran a business with his wife and sold sarees through Facebook.
He said the man had a past criminal record for robbery and was wanted by police.
