MCA deputy treasurer general slams DAP

PETALING JAYA: DAP is a party without any principles due to its opportunistic nature and behaviour, said MCA deputy treasurer general Datuk Seri Chuah Poh Khiang.
He said their opportunistic behaviour can be seen through the constant change in their stand over the Belt and Road Initiative (Obor) promoted by MCA.
Chuah said DAP party leaders changed their stand on the Obor after visiting the Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Dr Huang Huikang.
He said DAP had earlier denounced MCA by claiming that MCA had promoted the Obor without much thought and consideration.
"Their attitude has since softened after meeting the Chinese envoy. Apparently they attempted to please the Chinese envoy by refuting their position. This shows that DAP is an opportunistic party," Chuah said.
He added that this is not the first time that DAP changed its stand and this only shows that DAP will slander MCA with all its might should such an opportunity arise even if MCA was doing the right thing.
Chuah said MCA has clear goals, which is to provide an effective platform for communication, interaction and cooperation among Small and Medium Enterprises (SME).
He added that this will enable SMEs to grasp the possible business opportunities and gain benefits from Obor.
Chuah said MCA was fulfilling its party and social responsibilities by bridging the gap between the government and the people.
