KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will host the first Management of Social Transformations (MOST) programme which will be held from March 14 to 23 at Sunway Putra Mall Hotel.
Its secretariat Datin Noorazah Omar said that MOST's forum themed "Building Inclusive Societies in Asia Pacific" will focus on ageing, women and social innovation.
"Various non-governmental organisations and IPTAs will be involved in the ministerial forum, which is held during the programme and represented by 47 ministers from the Asia-Pacific countries," Noorazah, who is also Women, Family and Community Development ministry's undersecretary, said yesterday when asked on the preparations made.
MOST is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Organisational (Unesco) intergovernmental science programme on social transformations which works with governments, social, human science communities and civil societies to improve connections between knowledge and action.
Within the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, MOST contributes to development, to the eradication of poverty, to inclusive and sustainable responses to environmental change.
Earlier, Deputy Women, Family and Community Development minister Senator Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun expressed her thanks to Auto Bavaria for their sponsorship during the forum.
