RHB Investment Bank Berhad recently awarded a newcar to a lucky customer of its inaugural “Trade & Win” campaign. The campaign ran from Aug 1, 2016 to Jan 31, 2017.
Present at the prize-giving ceremony was RHB Investment Bank Berhad CEO Robert Huray, who handed the keys to the new Honda Civic 1.8s to an ecstatic 75-year-old Tan Chuan Choon.
Tan is one of 232 winners of this campaign, where 30 walked away with Apple Watch Sport timepieces; 20 with an Apple iPad Mini 2 each; and 181 with 10,000 Smart Points each.
According to RHB Investment Bank, each trading customer had to have a minimum of RM100 cumulative brokerage or commission to be eligible to participate in the contest.
INSURMOUNTABLE ODDS
Tan shared with the media his disbelief when he was informed that he had won the grand prize.
“When I heard the news (that I got the grand prize), I was completely surprised. I was not an avid stock investor, yet I got the prize. I thought that it would be just a smartphone but I was informed that I got a car!” he shared, with excitement in his voice.
“It is by chance as we have over 80,000 customers participating in this campaign. Based on the amount you generate and trade, each one has one lucky draw chance. There were close to two million individual distinct chances, and Mr Tan was one of them,” shared Huray.
INCREASED INVESTMENT
At the event, Huray shared his optimism for the investment market this year.
“We are optimistic about 2017, hence the reason we are rolling out the second Trade & Win campaign,” he said, and added: “We view the global market with more certainty in the face of uncertainty.”
TWO WINNERS IN ROUND TWO
RHB Investment Bank launched the second leg of its “Trade &Win” contest in conjunction with the success of its inaugural campaign.
The new leg will run throughout the next 12 months, beginning from March 1, 2017.
Two winners will be driving away in two all-new Honda BR-V crossovers this second leg. (A winner each will be drawn at six month intervals.)
