KUALA LUMPUR: The Construction Industry Development Board Malaysia (CIDB) expects to launch the RM2.5 million myBIM Centre in May.
"We are doing the interior design now and we expect it to be completed by the second week of April. We hope to move in by end of April and start the programme in May," E-Construct Sdn Bhd CEO Rofizlan Ahmad told reporters today.
myBIM Centre, to be operated by E-Construct, is a one-stop centre providing resources for the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM), a technology whereby buildings are constructed digitally.
CIDB chief executive Datuk Ahmad Asri Abdul Hamid said many companies are keen to adopt BIM, including UEM Sunrise, Gamuda and IJM while companies such as Brunsfield and Sunway are already using the technology.
