MIRI: A 3.5-metre crocodile was caught in a three-day "Operasi Sang Bedal" which was mounted by police to find the culprit that killed a teenager last month.

Marudi police chief DSP Gabriel Risut said an investigation by the Sarawak Forest Department which was also involved in the operation, found that the croc, caught in Sungai Peking, Long Lama was not the one that attacked the victim.

He said when contacted that the reptile had since been shot on the request of residents in the area.

On Feb 21, Agnes Luang who was waiting for her SPM results was attacked by a crocodile while bathing with her mother in the same river. — Bernama
