Five army commanders display leadership in blood donation drive

    KUCHING: Five Army commanders displayed leadership to their subordinates when they donated blood during blood donation drive here, today.
    They were Eastern Field Commander, Lt Gen Datuk Mohd Zaki Mokhtar, First Malaysian Infantry Division Commander, Maj Gen Datuk Stephen Mundaw, Third Malaysian Infantry Brigade Commander, Brig Gen Mohd Bustaman Mat Zin, Ninth Malaysian Infantry Brigade Commander, Brig Gen Datuk Subari Tomo and 31st Malaysian Infantry Brigade Commander, Brig Gen Datuk Fadzil Tajuddin.
    Joining the blood donation drive were Sarawak Blood Transfusion Service and Blood Bank chairman Dr Mohamad Masrin Md Zahrin and senior officers of the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM).
    The blood donation drive was a joint venture between the Army and the Blood Bank Unit of Sarawak General Hospital in conjunction with the 84th Army Day, to help meet the needs of blood banks at SGH and to fulfil the military's social responsibility to the community.
    Approximately 184 pints of blood were collected from a total of 211 donors, mostly from the Muara Tuang Camp and Penrissen Camp. — Bernama
