Etro explores another side of rose in new men's fragrance

ETRO has revealed an upcoming new men's fragrance called ManRose, exploring a different side of the timeless perfume ingredient. This eau de parfum promises plenty of contrasts and is set to sell in the Italian brand's boutiques.
Etro stands out with this new men's scent, focusing its fragrance on an ingredient more typically associated with the fairer sex. The rose, the noblest of flowers and queen of the perfume world, brings a touch of femininity to the Etro man, simultaneously channeling strength and softness, warmth and cool freshness. This fragrance promises plenty of contrasts in a scent designed for the elegant, cosmopolitan man.
"The rose – a mystical flower full of iridescent symbolism in the imaginary Eden of ManRose – should not be interpreted as an epitome of femininity. The ancient Greeks, who crowned the followers of Dionysus with garlands of roses, regarded them as a cross-gender symbol of beauty, " explains Etro.
This new men's scent opens with fresh top notes of Calabrian bergamot, Sichuan pepper, cardamom and elemi, followed by heart notes of Turkish rose, geranium and incense. Base notes follow through with aromas of patchouli, vetiver, musk, leather, amber and precious woods.
ManRose comes in the iconic Etro fragrance bottle capped with an engraved lid. The bottle is finished in the Italian fashion house's paisley motif. — AFP Relaxnews
