Be motivated at Coway Run

COWAY recently announced its inaugural run, which will take place on May 7 at Damansara Uptown.
The Coway Run will comprise two running events that cater to veterans and the general public (age 18 and above), spanning 5km and 10km.
The flag-off will be held at the Starling Mall, which is one of the official sponsors of the race.

Participants can expect more from the run as fitness model Jordan Yeoh and former Miss Universe Malaysia Carey Ng will be running alongside, motivating runners to finish the race.
Coway will also be placing giant water purifiers at three water stations to ensure runners remain hydrated.
Its managing director Kyle Choi Ki Ryong said each participant will also receive a race kit containing a t-shirt and a goodie bag before the race, plus a specially-designed medal after the participants complete their respective runs.

Choi shared that the run will help Coway establish a relationship with the community in venturing a lifelong journey together, “especially involving the community in doing something that gives them passion, and providing the opportunity to share that achievement.”
Also by roping in Yeoh and Ng, it is to show that anyone can tackle the race.
“We intend to break the stereotypical mindsets that long distance running is only meant for professional athletes or ‘fit people’,” Choi said in announcing the run.
“This run is not about who comes in first, it is about summoning the courage to face your fears with a willingness to make a difference and take a step to making an improvement to your life that will make you stronger and more confident in tackling new adversities,” he added.
While Coway hopes to encourage people to take the first step towards achieving a healthier lifestyle, the water specialist reminds participants to undergo light training beforehand to ensure they are in optimal condition for the run.
It will be organising a running clinic to prep Coway’s runners for the event.
