TAIPING: A 20-year-old odd-job worker was charged at the Sessions Court here today with raping his biological mother on March 8.
He was accused of committing the offence at his home in Kamunting about 7pm. The accused claimed trial to the charge before.
The offence falls under Section 376B of the Penal Code. If found guilty, he could be jailed up to 30 years and whipped.
Deputy public prosecutor Safiyatun Ahmadun asked the court to deny bail as the man and his mother lived in the same home.
Judge Mohd Sabri Ismail allowed RM8,000 bail with one surety, and fixed April 21 for mention.
