Simple yoga session to bring 10,000 smiles in three states

    SHAH ALAM: 'Smile yoga', a simple yoga exercise emphasising on relaxation techniques to enhance inner smile is to be conducted at Selangor, Perak and Malacca simultaneously on March 19.
    International Association For Human Values (IAHV) Malaysian chapter president, Lau Song Ngoh said the event which will commence 6am onwards is organised by IAHV in conjunction with International Day of Happiness.
    "We are expecting some 10,000 participants to carry out this simple smile yoga exercises at three places.
    "It will be held at Setia City Park, Setia Alam, Selangor, SMJK Yuk Choy, Ipoh and Dataran Pahlawan, Malacca simultaneously," she told Bernama.
    She said smile yoga is a combination of simple, fun movements, and breathing practices for relaxation.
    "When practising smile yoga, the emphasis is on connecting with our child-like nature and enjoying ourselves, rather than trying to perfect the practices.
    "Through smile yoga, our stress levels and restlessness will be reduced," she said.
    Lau said this would be IAHV's third smile yoga exercise event after the first in Penang in 2015 and the second last year which was held simultaneously at Malacca, Petaling Jaya, Ipoh and Penang, attracting 5,000 participants.
