Tan Sek Kee is new Berjaya Sompo CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sek Kee (pix), has been appointed as the new CEO of Berjaya Sompo Insurance Bhd.
Tan, 52, assumed his new role yesterday, following the retirement of Datuk Loh Lye Ngok, who will be taking on a new role as director and senior advisor of Berjaya Sompo.
Tan brings 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, having held senior management positions with a global insurance company in many key areas namely, sales and marketing, strategic planning, operations, underwriting and claims.
Loh said his successor is primed for his new role with a wealth of knowledge and experience across a strong global perspective.
Nobuhiro Kojima, president and managing director of Sompo Holdings (Asia) Pte Ltd, said he is confident that Tan’s strong track record as a senior officer, as well as his leadership qualities and immense experience in the industry will lead the general insurance company into its next chapter of growth.
