PM congratulates successful SPM candidates

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak (pix) today congratulated all candidates who sat for the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2016 and obtained excellent results.
At the same time, he reminded the successful candidates to appreciate the contributions of the teachers and parents who had led them to succeed in the examination.
"Congratulations to all candidates of #SPM2016 who succeeded, thank your teachers and parents who have contributed much for our success," he said in his Twitter website.
A total of 8,647 out of the 434,535 candidates or 2.13% who had sat for the SPM 2016 had obtained all A (A+, A, A-) in all subjects sat compared with 9,721 candidates in 2015.
The SPM 2016 recorded a better National Average Grade (GPN) which was 5.10 compared with 5.15 in 2015. — Bernama
