KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) is allocating between RM500,000 to RM700,000 for infrastructure repairs and maintenance in the Setiawangsa area.
Setiawangsa MP Datuk Ahmad Fauzi Zahari (pix) revealed this today during a walkabout in his constituency to inspect some of the 26 locations where the money will be spent on.
Ahmad Fauzi said rectification works include repairing damaged bus-stops, resurfacing potholes, replacing missing drain covers and restoring fallen power lines among others.
He said repairs will start tonight and will take approximately two weeks to complete.
"The most important thing is that these places are maintained regularly. If there are small issues that need to be addressed, then it should be taken care of before it becomes serious," Ahmad Fauzi said.
During the walkabout, some residents also took the opportunity to engage with him, raising issues such as a neglected public play area for children and pavements cracked by tree roots.
