Umno's 5P principles for victory in next GE

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa yesterday outlined a 5P formula for Umno to plan its winning strategy in the coming general election (GE).
The 5P principles are Leader, Party, Friendship, Voters and Combat to achieve victory and close ranks for party.
He said loyalty to the leader and party is a must for the continuation of Umno.
"From the initial establishment of Umno, the policy of preserving friendship and cooperation between Umno, MCA and MIC has been the basis for the strength of Barisan Nasional.
"We also need to be prepared to serve voters, not during certain seasons as our strength is from the people at the grassroots," he said at an Information and Knowledge Enhancing Seminar for Malay Fighters here today.
The event was also attended by Gombak Umno division deputy head Senator Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin and about 300 residents from the Gombak parliamentary constituency.
The last principle, he said, was believing in the struggle of the party, religion, race and country, which was an important factor to ensure the victory of Umno. — Bernama
