Meet Bixby: Samsung's new artificial intelligence assistant

21 Mar 2017 / 10:01 H.

SAMSUNG announced the official release of its Siri-competitor, Bixby, on March 20, 2017.
Users of the upcoming Galaxy S8 will be able to use Samsung's latest development, its AI voice assistant Bixby, which will be located via a new button beneath the volume control.
The major difference between Bixby and competitors' offerings such as Apple's Siri, Amazon's Alexa, Microsoft's Cortana and the Google Assistant is that Samsung has bigger plans in store for Bixby. In the long run, the multinational electronics giant envisages Bixby as a means of controlling and managing multiple apps together, simply using one's voice: an "intelligent interface", as Samsung explains.
Bixby will gradually roll out to other Samsung appliances after its debut on the Galaxy S8 at the end of the month. — AFP Relaxnews
