Lorry skids causing chemical spills

SEREMBAN: A lorry loaded with 20 containers of cleaning chemical skidded at Taman Permai 2 here at midnight, causing three of the containers to burst and spill the contents onto the road.
The lorry driver had earlier hit a parked lorry at a road shoulder while reversing.
Eight personnel from Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Station's hazardous materials (Hazmat) unit rushed to the scene in two fire trucks in response to a distress call at 12.11am.
Operations officer Md Zin Salleh said the team took more than one hour to clean the spillage.
He said the injured lorry driver was sent to Hospital Tuanku Jaafar, Seremban for treatment. — Bernama
