Lima'17: Najib receives courtesy calls from foreign delegates

LANGKAWI: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today received courtesy calls from several foreign delegates on the sidelines of the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA'17) exhibition, here.
Among them were United Kingdom's Minister for Defence Procurement, Harriet Baldwin; Qatar's Defence Minister, Dr Khalid Mohamed Al Attiyah; Singapore's Second Minister of Transport Ng Chee Meng and Singapore's Second Minister for Defence, Ong Ye Kung.
Also present during the courtesy calls were Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein and Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah.
Najib then spent nearly two hours visiting the aerospace segment of the LIMA'17 at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC) here to see the trade exhibition on the opening day today.
A total of 555 exhibitors from 36 countries are participating in LIMA'17 which is expected to attract over 180,000 trade and public visitors from all over the world.
Earlier today, Najib officially opened LIMA'17 which will be held until March 25 at MIEC for the aerospace segment and at Resort World Langkawi for the maritime segment. — Bernama
