Analabs posts weaker Q3 results

    PETALING JAYA: Analabs Resources Bhd's net profit for the third quarter ended Jan 31, 2017 fell 46.5% to RM2.09 million from RM3.91 million a year ago mainly due to loss generated from the contract work, pipe-laying and rehabilitation segment.
    Revenue increased 6.6% to RM37.37 million from RM35.05 million in the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.
    For the nine months period, its net profit dropped 15.3% to RM9.01 million from RM10.63 million a year ago, while revenue increased 2.1% to RM117.06 million from RM114.67 million in the previous year.
    "The board is cautiously optimistic on the future prospects of the group and barring any unforeseen circumstances, the board expects the future contribution by the manufacturing, formulation and sale of resin, chemicals and building materials to remain stable in the forthcoming quarters," said Analabs.
