TM appoints Shazalli as new managing director, group CEO

PETALING JAYA: Telekom Malaysia Bhd (TM) has appointed Datuk Seri Mohammed Shazalli Ramly as its new managing director and group CEO, effective May 1, 2017, following the retirement of Tan Sri Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa as its group CEO, effective April 30, 2017.
Shazalli was most recently the regional CEO and corporate executive vice-president for Axiata Group Bhd, after being promoted from his previous position as Celcom Axiata Bhd’s CEO. In a statement yesterday, TM also announced the appointment of its executive director and group CFO Datuk Bazlan Osman as executive director and deputy group CEO, effective April 1, 2017.
Meanwhile, TM said its current financial controller Nor Fadhilah Mohd Ali was appointed to cover the duties of the group CFO with effect from April 1, 2017 until the nomination and appointment of a new group CFO.
