MPSP worker killed in traffic accident

NIBONG TEBAL: A Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP) worker was killed in a traffic accident on his way to work yesterday.
In the 6.45am incident, Muhammad Faiz Shuhaimi was hit by a taxi while walking towards the Jawi MPSP depot, at Jalan Kerian Kedah.
According to Southern Seberang Perai district police chief Supt Abdul Shafee Abdul Ahmad, the deceased who sustained major head injuries died on the way to the hospital.
"His body will be sent to the Sungai Bakap Hospital for a post mortem," he told reporters.
Abdul Shafee said the 63-year-old taxi driver did not sustain any injuries in the accident.
He said the case will be investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by dangerous driving.
